Walk To Work #WalkTheWorld

By Teamspirit on Tuesday, 5 September 2017

All our fundraising efforts here at Teamspirit in 2017 have been working towards helping Cancer Research UK continue their great work in fighting the disease.

We have been doing this in conjunction with the Cascaid charity – an initiative bringing friends and colleagues together from across the asset management industry – who have a revised £2million target after already raising over £1.5million.

Our latest event saw a follow-up to Aprils Walk to Work challenge – with colleagues walking (and running) from our respective homes into Teamspirit towers in Farringdon. Whilst we didn’t experience the glorious sunshine we enjoyed in April, the early September breeze was much welcome for those travelling long distances. A true team effort to help our fundraising, which has now surpassed £7,000 including Gift Aid.

Cascaid Teamspirit Walk To Work

As the sun sets on British summer time, there will be no let up from the Cascaid team. Earlier this month Fiona Cooper and family went climbing Goatfell, the 2,866ft mountain on the Isle of Arran. On the 6 hour climb they experienced all weather types and a rather fog bound summit – but their efforts have raised loads of money for our worthy cause.

There are not many people that have not been directly affected by cancer. Everyone at Teamspirit is fully committed to helping Cancer Research UK continue their great work in beating the disease.
