Teamspirit Headlinemoney Award Victories

By Adam Smith on Friday, 24 July 2020

The Headlinemoney Awards were a different occasion this year. Agencies and journalists from the financial industry tuned into the livestream from their own sofas, suits and cocktail dresses optional, and a bottle of champagne on hand. I am pretty sure I am not the only one who felt a bit strange watching it on a laptop rather than the usual four glasses of mediocre wine down at a plush hotel!

Voted for by journalists, the Headlinemoney Awards holds a special place in PR agencies' hearts, and winning Agency of the Year is an incredible achievement. In our eyes the accolade is the most important because of who votes for the winner – the media. It’s a true reflection of our ability to produce quality and insightful content for our clients and, most importantly, execute it with top-notch media relations.

At Teamspirit, we are constantly evolving the way we work, the ideas we create and the content we produce to ensure we grow with an ever-changing media landscape. And, never has that been more true than in these current times. Our curiosity drives our thinking and it’s our job as PR professionals to push the boundaries in the way we discuss and promote financial services.

This means that we do everything from consumer focused campaigns with Fidelity on the power of women and investing, to modelling large scale data reports for the investment market, right through to offering communication and consultancy on some of the biggest news stories of recent times.

Our very own Sandy Downs was also recognised on the night as highly commended in the Young PR Professional of Year, and she is part of an incredible team that is at the heart of our success. Adaptable, expert, passionate, and always willing to ask that next question and deliver something new for the media and its readers.

It’s a team that I am incredibly proud of and feel privileged to be a part of. On a personal note I have been present at the HLM awards for the last 13 years and have yearned for this accolade since the beginning of my career. To finally achieve this as the MD of Teamspirit is a feeling that will be pretty hard to top. And the only way we have achieved this is through the grit, determination, and passion of our team. I love every single one of them. Even Rupert.

Looking to the future, this is just the start of our ambition. Our goal has always been to transform the world of finance for the better. And that means truly integrated marcomms campaigns. Our job isn’t to ‘PR something’. Our job is to engage, educate, evoke emotion, influence and ultimately drive behavioural change for the better.
