While I love my work here at Teamspirit, and being part of a bustling PR office, I not-so-secretly have a passion for tennis. My Dad is a tennis coach and some of my earliest memories are running around the tennis court trying to keep up with my brother. Now, I spend nearly every summer (sometimes more) working with the stringing team at Wimbledon, and it’s taken me round the world.

Not many people know about the joys of racket restringing, nor do they realise the effort that goes into it. Or the fussiness! Each player has their own wants and needs when it comes to their rackets and it’s my job to make sure that happens. Well, not just my job, there are lots of racket restringers who are much more expert than me – but there’s a whole cabin full of us at all the major tournaments. Wimbledon? Yep. Other Grand Slams? Yep. Any tournament on the WTA or ATP tour? Yep.

I could type for ages on this topic, but if you’ve got around nine minutes to spare, give this episode of Teamspiriters a listen. Then, when you’re done, there are even more voices to listen to. Check out the other episodes of the Teamspiriters podcast series.
