Unveiling our new board structure

By Teamspirit on Monday, 24 May 2021

As we start the next chapter of our own business transformation in new offices designed to meet the needs of a new era for working, we’re delighted to unveil our new leadership team.

Montserrat Tojeiro has been promoted to the role of managing director, responsible for driving the next phase of Teamspirit’s growth, and further developing our award-winning digital, creative and marketing offering for clients.

Working in partnership with the managing director for our PR business, Adam Smith, Montserrat will continue to report to CEO Kirsty Maxey and sit on the Teamspirit group board. Kirsty retains responsibility for integrated communications across the agency.

Montserrat has over 25 years’ experience in integrated marketing communications and has been central to the success of Teamspirit since joining over twenty years ago. She has spearheaded brand and marketing campaigns for businesses including Alliance Trust, Aviva, Barclays, Investec, KPMG, Legal & General, MetLife, Tilney Smith & Williamson and Wealthtime in her role as Director of Client Services. In recent years she has also played a central role in devising the agency’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (D,E&I) strategy, Pro Bono and young talent programmes.

The Teamspirit board is further strengthened with the promotion of Samantha (Sam) Turner to head of client services and Jim Poulter to head of business development. Both have also joined the Group Board.

Sam joined Teamspirit in 2016 and specialises in marketing and internal communications. She has been instrumental in maintaining our 9/10 Net Promoter Score for client servicing. During her career, Samantha has worked on clients across in-house and agency roles including McCarthy & Stone, Sony, Zoopla, Prudential, Ecclesiastical Insurance, Sun Life, Orange, Churchill and UNICEF.

Jim joined in 2009 and has been responsible for a broad portfolio of clients, specialising particularly in integrated, response-led and CRM-focused marketing, resulting in campaigns generating significant ROIs, across TV, OOH, print, digital and social. Clients have ranged from some of the world’s largest institutional investment houses and banks to FinTech start-ups and professional services brands.

Kirsty commented: “I am incredibly proud of our team. The new structure we are announcing today is testament to the depth of talent we have at Teamspirit. As part of our commitment to transform the world of work, we are relocating into our new office space in Victoria which will enable all our team to enjoy ‘better’ hybrid working, enabling superior levels of collaboration with clients – and across our senior teams.

I have been lucky enough to have worked with Montse for over twenty years and have seen know first-hand just how much clients value her expertise and the exceptional service levels she and her team provide.

Sam has been a keen player in Teamspirit’s success, and been instrumental in shaping the client services team across the board, transforming what we’re able to offer our clients. Jim joining the board further increases our ability to innovate and adds strategic weight to our offering – both inside and out."
