- High quality equipment is more accessible than ever
The good:
Your video can look incredibly good even at a reasonable price level. Editing can be done on a laptop, and even on location if needed. Simply put, great looking video is well within your reach.
The bad:
Just because someone has access to a fancy camera doesn’t mean they know how to use it, or that they know how to tell the right story about your brand. Poorly created video will always leave a negative impression on your business.
- There are more video outlets than ever
The good:With YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo and of course your own website, the places that video can live is near endless with potentially huge audiences.
The bad:
With so many places to put your video, have you thought about HOW people will find it? What is your strategy? Have you thought why you are making this video and who’s going to benefit from it?
- There’s loads of great video content out there
The good:If it’s inspiration you’re after, it’s never been easier to sit down and find great looking and relevant content.
The bad:
Faced with so much engaging video content, yours needs to stand out. Quality is vital but so is the thought behind it and a view to how it fits into your wider communications strategy.
- Social media can get your content to a massive audience
The good:
You can target the right people with the right messages, and have the chance for them to share it even further.
The bad:
Again, how will yours stand out? Have you thought about how you will get it out? How does it fit into what your business is doing in social at the moment?
