For The Better Award: announcing our 2020 winner
By Teamspirit on Monday, 13 January 2020
We recently invited entries to our second annual For The Better Award, a pro bono initiative created in partnership with our friends at the Finance Innovation Lab.
Together, we put out the call for charities, commercial or social enterprises aiming to positively impact financial health. Our chosen partner would receive pro bono access to £10,000 of our award-winning communication expertise to help them in achieving their mission.
The applications were brilliant, and we’d like to thank every organisation that entered, all of whom are doing fantastic work to improve financial health across the UK.
With so many excellent entries to choose from and after much deliberation, we’re delighted to announce our winning organisation: Fair Money Advice.
Fair Money Advice has a mission to free individuals and communities from problem-debt. They offer targeted crisis and preventative services, including free and independent debt advice services – with a face to face offering for the most vulnerable in society. Through their work they aim to help people take control of their money, improve financial resilience and initiate a positive narrative around money and debt.
Montserrat Tojeiro, Group Board Director, Teamspirit said: “We want to transform the world of finance for the better and this award gives our teams the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to society directly. There needs to be a new conversation around helping people become more financially resilient and independent, and in these current times this is something that’s needed more than ever. It’s our privilege to work with Fair Money Advice this year to help them in their mission to turn around the stigma surrounding debt.”
Over the next few months, we’ll be providing regular updates on our work with Fair Money Advice. And make sure to check back next Autumn, when we’ll once again be opening entries to the For The Better Award.
