Bringing pocket money into the 21st century

London fintech startup Soldo has partnered with Mastercard to launch a new multi-user spending account.

The cloud-based service has been developed over the last 18 months and is available in the UK and Italy -  FCA-regulated, it is designed to help multiple users manage the flow of money within organisations and groups.

Solo founder, Carlo Gualandri, is clear that Soldo isn’t an attempt to take on the banks or disrupt the universal banking system. He simply wants to use technology to make day-to-day life a little easier.

Soldo is initially targeting families for things like managing pocket money and splitting household bills.

In the future, they plan to provide services for businesses, offering online transaction control, overseas spending, and real-time oversight for account holders – which may either be a blessing or a curse for CFOs everywhere.
