A chatbot for… chatbots?

By Teamspirit on Tuesday, 24 April 2018

A London-based start-up is developing a roboadviser to help customers find the right roboadviser.

Pia, or Personal Investment Assistant, will help clients find digital investment platforms that best suit their financial situations, life circumstances and personality traits.

Comparison sites already exist for these products, but Pia promises to use an AI-powered chatbot to provide a friendlier, personalised experience. Instead of ticking boxes and moving sliders, customers will provide information by engaging in a conversation with a chatbot.

The platform is currently in beta ahead of its launch in autumn. With robot assistants popping up in ever more interesting areas, we’ll be keeping a close eye on Pia to see whether this one turns out to be an Optimus Prime or a Johnny 5.
